Dear Bowler:

On behalf of the San Jose Nisei Bowling Association, I would like to invite you to

participate in our upcoming bowling tournament. We are pleased to announce that we

have re-named our invitational tournament to the Fuzzy Shimada Memorial

Tournament, as a lasting tribute to the late, great Fuzzy Shimada. In addition, we have

made some modifications to our tournament format, which we hope will maximize

bowler participation:

• 2 squads of “Generation No-Tap” (one or both bowlers 60 years or older)
• 2 squads of Mixed Trios (2 men & 1 woman or 2 women & 1 man teams)
• 2 squads of “any combination” doubles (2 men, 2 women, or mixed)

We are also pleased to announce that our host bowling center, 4th Street Bowl, has just

completed a major renovation, which will greatly enhance your bowling experience.

New amenities include a state-of-the-art scoring system with flat panel monitors, redesigned

seating areas, new pinsetters, new ball returns, and new pins.
